Welcome to Season 2024
Welcome Back! It’s time to start thinking about FOOTBALL!
February is the month to get registered in Play Football, get your teams together, get a manager registered and let your Age Coordinator know to nominate your team to NSFA! Another great reason to get registered by the end of February is that existing players will save $40 because they will get a FREE new shirt - see details below.
There has been unprecedented demand to join LFC with all our trials oversubscribed, a testament to our fabulous coaching program and the lingering excitement around football from the Women’s World Cup. We can’t wait to see our Matildas and Olyroos in Olympic action later this year but more importantly, we can’t wait to see all of you back out on the pitch - so don’t miss out, GET REGISTERED TODAY!
New Sponsor = New Shirt
Our most thrilling announcement is a partnership with a brand NEW MAJOR SPONSOR.
Watch for an announcement later this week.
Yes… this does mean everyone will be getting NEW PLAYING SHIRTS.
*** SHIRTS WILL BE SWAPPED FOR FREE for any Returning Players from 2023 IF THEY ARE REGISTERED before 5pm, 29th February ***
All new players, plus those registering from March 1st or players from prior seasons, will need to purchase a new shirt. Unlike many other clubs, LFC does not build the shirt cost into fees each year. Once you purchase the shirt, it can be used year after year.
How do I get my new shirt? More details will follow soon, the plan is to hold some distribution days in March, but you need to be registered, so get your teams sorted asap!
What about Shorts and Socks? Your existing shorts and socks do not need to change. Please note, due to Industrial action at ports, we are still waiting for our uniform delivery.
Adult socks are currently out of stock. Orders can still placed which will be filled as soon as the stock arrives.

I have Questions…. How can I get Help?
Your Age Coordinator is here to help facilitate football for your age group. They put the teams together, provide guidance and can answer any football questions not found on the LFC website - a rich source of information. You can find all the club contacts including your age coordinator’s details on the Contact Us Page on the website and they will do their best to answer you asap.
Please remember we are a Community Club run by wonderful volunteers. LFC is a very large club (some age groups have 150-200 players) so we do rely on members being self-sufficient and reading information provided, where possible. If you are keen to give us a hand, please get in touch with Mark Pittman, our Vice President - Volunteers.
If you prefer to meet in person, you are warmly welcome to join us at our Club Open Night which will be held at the clubhouse, Highfield Rd on Friday 23rd, February. This is a great opportunity to touch base with committee members and get questions answered. On the night, you can also visit the uniform shop downstairs while the kids have a kick-around on the courts. You can also have an easy dinner night and grab one of our freshly cooked pizzas and a drink from the bar. We have live acoustic music every Friday night.

Team Managers
A reminder that each team will need to nominate a manager as soon as possible. This is a NSFA requirement and essential when organising training, kitbags and NEW shirts for each team. To help us get organised, please get in touch with your Age Coordinator if you would like to volunteer to be a team manager and get registered in
Play Football as a volunteer.
Keep Up to Date
Regularly Check the website’s Notice Board on the Home Page
The Calendar is found under the NEWS Tab and has all the important season dates.
For reminders and updates and to stay in touch with your LFC community, check out the LFC Facebook and Instagram pages.
You are welcome to submit photos (with approval from you other team members) for us to include, however, to keep it interesting, please ensure you provide some detail/context about the photo – NB no scores can be published for MiniRoos and we never use the children’s names.
Have a great week and do not hesitate to be in touch with our committee members and Age Coordinators with any questions you may have.
Kind Regards
Your LFC Team
