Registration Refunds close Friday 1st October!!!

What a disappointing end to our 2021 season! While providing some much needed free time, it's been difficult to adjust to a life without football and even more so, life without seeing teammates!
I hope everyone is managing okay and that we all have the opportunity to enjoy some summer football.

The LFC team have been working hard on determining refunds for our members for the 2021 season. We have aimed to give the very best refund back to our members while remaining financially solvent.

The approximate loss in season was 40% and we have used that figure as a guide for our refunds, keeping in mind the financial stability of the Club. As an indication of our process, the refund amounts were calculated as 40% of fees, less an unavoidable fixed cost and an administration fee of $15.

Please consider that LFC was not eligible for Jobkeeper in 2021 (as opposed to 2020) or Jobsaver, so the fixed costs are a little higher than last year. In addition, neither Football NSW or Football Australia have refunded any monies back at this point in time (although Football NSW have just signalled their intent to do so). Northern Suburbs Football Association have committed that any monies received back from either FNSW or FA will be used to lower their fees next season.

How to Claim your Refund:

The process to claim your refund will be different to last year. We will be using the NSFA refund capture software - this is a secure system that will protect your privacy.

A separate claim will need to be processed for each player, including each child.

You will need your:

  • Bank account details

  • FFA number of each player claiming a refund. (Can’t find my FFA Number - see below.)

You will have the option to:

  • Claim a refund by bank transfer, or

  • Donate the refund to the Club

DO NOT select the option to retain as credit for next year as this will not be functional for LFC.

Please note:

  • Where family discounts on registrations were applied, an adjusted refund amount will be calculated.

  • Should you decide to donat your eligible refund amount to LFC, this will be used to ensure the financial stability of the Club and any amounts beyond that will be transferred directly to our Project 2023 initiative. We are extremely grateful for your support and any contribution.

  • Refunds CLOSE Friday, 1st October, when the NSFA refund link will close. So please ensure you submit your claim before this date. Unfortunately, no claims can be accepted after Friday 1st October.

What happens if I do nothing? As per last year, all registration refunds not claimed will be treated as donations and we thank you for your generous support.

How to Find your FFA Number?

Your FFA Number is your identifier for your football career - you get one when you first sign up and we highly recommend writing it down or saving your rego invoice - try searching your email for “Your registration to Football.”
