No Football Activity: Next 2 Weeks
Dear LFC Members,
As per NSW Government and Football NSW directive, all football activity will be suspended until 11:59pm Friday 9th July.
What does this mean?
No matches will be played.
No training in groups is permitted.
No players involved in training activity will be covered by the Personal Accident insurance.
All councils have closed their grounds due to the NSW Government guidelines, switching off floodlight access also during this period.
Club meetings must be held via zoom / online video platform.
NSFA have every intention to resume our competition matches on Saturday 10th July and therefore we’d like to see you remain fit, healthy and engaged with your team.
We will support you in this by sharing content online, guiding you to resources and Chris and the LFC coaches will be in touch with teams to help motivate and provide ideas of how you can stay fit and active.
For social team coaches there is a wealth of material available to draw from on our Volunteer Coaches Page, but for some new inspiration, jump onto the NSFA INSPIRE Coach Support Facebook Group where Jake and the Coach development team will be posting regular articles, blogs and resources to help you expand your thinking and approach to coaching.
Isolation can be a difficult experience and we need to look after each other and stay connected. Ed Ferguson our NSFA CEO summed it up well
“I encourage you to communicate with your teammates and football friends. We are all in the same boat. Whilst we have encountered a lifestyle situation such as this before, it is vital to call each other, host a video call and ensure that all members of our community know that they belong. You are part of a Club, we are part of NSFA and together we make an extremely proud and strong football community. Together we are stronger.”
So stay safe, keep fit and in touch with your team mates!
We will be in touch again soon.
The LFC Team
